Why “House of Jade”?
In Chinese culture, jade (yù, 玉) represents the "stone of heaven," embodying virtue, wisdom, prosperity and success. I chose to incorporate part of my name, Yi-Ja (Yì jiā, 忆家), given to me by my grandma, which means “remember home/one family,” because it is a reminder that every business is built from personal passion, connection, and community.
Is House of Jade run by a team? Why do you use “we” on the website?
House of Jade is currently founder-led and operates as a sole proprietorship. The use of “we” reflects the collaborative, full-service experience we provide to our clients and a forward-thinking, collaborative approach to growth. As the brand expands and projects scale, there is opportunity to bring in trusted creatives and specialists to ensure every client continues to receive high-quality work towards my long-term vision of growing House of Jade into a full creative team.

We primarily work with local small businesses, entrepreneurs, and Asian brands in NYC (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens) who are looking for intentional growth and a more refined digital presence.
